Inzwischen ist es Alltag geworden.
Sterben im Meer, das für so viele Europäer ein Badestrand im Urlaub ist.
Wie das alles aushalten?
Politisch werden, an Hilfsprojekten teilnehmen, spenden,
Im Kleinen etwas beitragen.
Und: Mitgefühl und Verbindung anregen durch Kunst.
Das untergegangene Schiff wirft Schatten wie der Bug eines alten Wikinger Bootes.
Den Bug bildet ein Ziegenknochen vom Strand in Griechenland.
Oben schwankt eine Flaschenpost
Darin Shakespeares alter Text aus „Der Sturm“:
Hier die Übersetzung:
„Ganze fünf Faden tief liegt Dein Vater
Aus seinen Knochen werden Korallen
Es sind Perlen, die einmal seine Augen waren.

The bow is a goat bone from a beach in Greece.
Above floats a message in a bottle
Inside Shakespeare’s ancient text from „The Tempest“:
„Full fadom five thy father lies
of his bones are coral made
Those are pearls that were his eyes.
Nothing of him that doth fade.
But doth suffer a sea change
Into something rich and strange.
