Der Grosse Jäger

Langsam dreht sich die lauernde Figur,
ein Reptil mit einem federnden Schwanz aus Draht.
Erstaunliche Schönheit der Schädel-Konstruktion,
wie ein leichter Rennwagen aus Kohlenstoff.

Manchmal raschelt es im Laub,
oder Metall klickt auf Metall.
Sehr angenehm leise im Hintergrund des Raumes.
Machmal rührt sich etwas.
So denke ich ab und zu ganz gern an den Tod,
den großen Jäger.
Er stört mich nicht,
er regt mich an, wesentlich zu werden.

„Beide haben wir das Gefühl,
unser Leben ganz gelebt zu haben.
Kein Gedanke…. war machtvoller als dieser:
Ein Leben ohne Reue zu führen.
Marylin und ich fühlen uns frei von Bedauern –
Wir haben mutig und in Gänze gelebt.
Wir ließen uns die Möglichkeiten nicht entgehen
die uns geschenkt wurden, um zu wachsen,
und nun hatten wir wenig ungelebtes Leben zu beklagen.„

Slowly turning the creeping figure,
a reptile with a springy tail made of wire.
Amazing beauty of skull construction,
like a lightweight carbon racing car.

Sometimes it rustles in the foliage
or metal clicks on metal.
Very pleasantly quiet in the background of the room.
Sometimes something stirs.
So now and then I like to think of death,
the great hunter.
He doesn’t disturb me,
He inspires me to become essential.

that we have lived our lives to the full.
No thought…. been more powerful than this:
To live a life without any regrets.
Marylin and I feel free of sorry -.
We lived bravely and fully.
We did not miss the opportunities
that were given to us to grow,
and now we had little unlived life to mourn.“
